On-Prem M3 13.4 Tech Refresh

Yesterday I found out that Infor is doing a tech refresh for On-Prem M3 13.4. While the business engine will not change, all of the surrounding technologies, including the grid will be changed. A couple of things that I learned about it:
* Versions prior to 13.4 will not be usable with the tech refresh and must be upgraded
* SmartOffice will no longer be an option to use. You must use H5.
* You must do a new install. There are no in-place upgrades

I have a developer that is looking for documentation on the components included in the H5 SDK. That information used to be available on the developer portal, but now it is restricted to only Infor employees and Infor partners. Does anyone have any documentation on these or are we forced to reverse engineer them to figure out how they work?

Is anyone having issues with MO updates requiring a Manual Reclass Date causing pallets to not report in MWS068?

Since the April release, we are having problems with pallets reporting on original MOs that have been updated for a variety of reasons (e.g., customer quantity change). Updates are made prior to production. A Manual Reclass Date is required to update the MO.

If we do not immediately go back in PMS100 and change the MO to remove the Man Recl Date prior to production, pallets will not report in the MWS068. If production has started and the date has not been removed, we have to  Read more...do a database change in the Admin Tools environment to remove the date; otherwise, pallets will not report.

This started happening after the April release. We filed a ticket with Infor but do not have a solution yet. Curious if anyone else has experienced this issue, and if yes, have you found a permanent fix?

Hey MUGA group! I'm looking for some help with endorsements for ER 100552. This is to correct an API for MMS850MI so that you can use it to reclass items from one unit of measure to another. We had some customization before we went to Muli-Tenant that could do this but since we went to MT in Sept 2023 we've lost this capability. I don't know if this is something that will need to be an enhancement request, or if we are just missing a setting. I would like your feedback on it.

Description
We do a lot of warranty work where payment is split between the customer and the manufacturer. The invoice split process works fine, but the taxable code is being selected based on the customer’s ship to address for the invoice and not the payer. When the payer is non-taxable and the customer is taxable, the split  Read more...portion of the invoice is also taxable. The taxable code should always be based on the payer and not the customer.

Business Impact
This is a situation that happens every day. We currently have a report that runs daily that lists the invoices with the incorrect taxable code. We have a person in accounting who will then go into each invoice and manually correct the taxable amount. Accounting spends 30 minutes to 1 hour per day correcting these invoices.

We need your help. we have just submitted an enhancement request to facilitate the accurate review of absorption as it relates to labor being posted to manufacturing orders. We need the ability link the GL transaction back to the individual time transaction applied to the manufacturing orders. We are currently able to do this today for work orders but for some reason the manufacturing orders do not populate the available field. The technical request is to take the value in TABLE: CINACC Read more.../FIELD:EZANBR and populate that into TABLE: MWOPTR/FIELD: DJANBR. The field is already available in the system. It just seems like this linkage was left out of the programming.

Please, please vote to pass this enhancement along. It makes no sense to us that the field already exists as it does on work orders but they do not populate it as they do for work orders. Show less...

We had some topics we wanted to discuss in more detail with other companies while we were in attendance at the conference but simply ran out of time. 1. New facility setup of  Read more...MMS002. Currently when we setup a new facility and copy MITBAL records from one warehouse to another. This leads us to have a very large MITBAL table. Many of the items are in status 10 that we don’t use. We do this to copy standard cost, purchasing agreement into the new facility at the same time. This way the item status can be quickly flipped to 20 when used. We are curious if anyone has found a better way of doing this?

2. How do other M3 customers handle M3’s FIFO. We don’t think FIFO is possible as most of our inventory is not lot controlled.

3. Our system transaction time is 6 hours ahead but we would prefer a time zone of CST or EST on the transactions when reviewing data in the tables. Is there a way to do this? Assuming DRS045 might be involved.

4. For our lot controlled exchange items we don't need complicated lot numbers. We would like to default the lot number as NEW when the items are received in PPS300 but we haven't found a way to default that value. We are curious if anyone knows of configuration to do this.  Show less...

We are on 13.4 and moving to the cloud and I have found that there is no way to programatically restrict access at the function level (Authorization Required in CMNFNG). There are over 3,000 programs that will need to be restricted. This ER is to have an API that will allow the updating of the CMNFNG table with functionality similar to MNS100.

Hello - We are trying to take advantage of status 50 for items at the warehouse level so that we can begin phasing out some little used item numbers. We are running into an issue where, if we are placing an order and the customer would normally get the item from the status 50 warehouse, supply model doesn't run. M3 instead uses the default warehouse on the customer master which we don't want. When we were on-prem, we used datasets (OSS401) to define and upload a manual sales budget. The same programs are available in the cloud with a new program (OSS940) that should upload the manual file. I have been unsuccessful loading our sales forecast and my case with Infor has yet to be resolved. Hoping someone has used OSS940 and can tell me what I'm doing wrong.
