Prevent a warehouse location from being used temporarily

We have a situation that arose at our UK facility where specific rack locations need to be blocked for movement of material into that location until some repairs are done. An inquiry with Infor yielded no usable suggestions other than an enhancement request. (which might be a future post!) anyone have any suggestions?

Happy New year to you Scott; no I took Jeremy's suggestion which worked out well and so chose the path of least resistance. If you do decide to create an ER; I would certainly endorse it. If more companies have the need as well -- would be great to hear.

Create a zero cost dummy item. Change the Multi-storage field of MMS010/E to '0'. Use MMS310 to place "inventory" of that dummy item into the location(s). M3 will prevent someone from moving any other item number into it. If that's too complicated, I suppose just delete the locations for the time being.
