On Prem and MT Cloud Discussion Group

About

This group was originally designed primarily for companies that are or have been running M3 on premises and are moving to MT Cloud. While that is still true, the group has evolved and now has something for everyone. The group ranges from companies that haven't even begun to look at MT Cloud to those Read more... that have already made the transition and are live. A key piece to this group is the monthly group call where we discuss various topics and have an open forum for questions. If you are interested in joining the monthly call, please DM me and I will get you set up.

We had a great session yesterday where Gary Drake presented information about the MT Cloud Service Tiers. Hopefully he was able to remove the mystery and answer some questions for all of you. The link that Gary shared for more information about the Service Tiers is https://os.infor.com/usagelimits.

If you were unable to attend the session, you can find the slide deck at Read more... https://m3uga.workoutloud.com/cloud/82788 and the recording of the session at https://m3uga.workoutloud.com/cloud/82779. Show less...

We had a great conversation on our discussion group call yesterday. If you missed it, you can find the recording at https://m3uga.workoutloud.com/cloud/81852. Mike Wolfe with Engis shared about a new third party ETL tool that his company is using to move data from Data Lake into their data warehouse. Arun Kumar from Oldcastle did a quick show-and-tell on how they are using In-Context widgets and Enterprise Search to expand  Read more...the functionality of list panels. Both of these were ad hoc conversations in response to comments or questions made during the call. Your voice is needed ... and heard!

On that note, I am looking for ideas or topics for our upcoming calls. If you have any questions or topics you would like to see discussed, please email me at JPanzenhagen@UnitedRadio.com.I will do my best to find someone familiar with the topic to participate in the call.

Finally, we will not be having a call during the month of March. Instead, I look forward to meeting you all at the M3UGA conference in Myrtle Beach the 17th through 19th. We will be picking up our calls again in April with a presentation on MT Cloud Service Tiers, so keep an eye out for that announcement.  Show less...

I apologize for letting the month of January get away from me without getting something scheduled, but because of conflicts, I will not be able to host a call this month. Stay tuned for details on our February call. I think it will be an interesting one for everyone.

Excellent call today on the topic of enhancement requests. A couple of ERs were highlighted (see below) and Toni Kennedy made a great point of introducing ideas for enhancement requests here, on WorkOutLoud, and using feedback to craft the information for the ER. In that way, we will be able to create the most effective request.

Here are the links to the two open ERs that we discussed:

In the past, there has been less participation in our calls during November and December. I'd like to know whether or not you would like me to schedule these calls for the rest of the year. Regardless of what we do this year, we will be restarting in January.

We have scheduled a session about moving from On-Prem M3 to MT Cloud at the upcoming M3UGA event in Kansas City. I’ve been asked to coordinate the session, so I am reaching out to members of this group for help. I am looking for two companies that have completed or are near completing their on-prem to MT migration to share their insights on the process. Several of you have presented on this topic before, and if you would like to do it again, please let me know. For this session, I am going  Read more...to limit it to 2 companies so that we will have adequate time to field questions and have discussions.

Please let me know if you are attending the upcoming event in October and would be willing to share a 5 to 10 minute presentation.
