Updating Customer Order Number on AR Invoice

Does anyone have experience in setting up permissions to all the AR team to update a Customer Order Number (Customer PO #) once the invoice is in ARS205? We can view the data in ARS216 but with full access are unable to update that field. Hoping we don't have to credit and rebill the entire customer order. We would appreciate any suggestions.

Good afternoon MUGA group!

I would love to hear some insight on how other M3 customers are handling ‘Line Type 2 – Direct Delivery’ in customer orders and work orders. We use this all the time; however, we'd love if this could capture more data when utilized.

M3 doesn’t consider the sale (Customer Orders OIS300) or purchase (Purchase Order PPS200) in item statistics (MMS090) when this line type is used. This is because direct delivery from supplier to  Read more...customer does not affect on-hand item quantity (on-hand balance never changes in MWS068). Our business uses annual usage and item history to help identify safety stock levels and forecasting we should have at each warehouse.

A business example is that we would increase the on-hand safety stock to reduce lead times for WOs and COs. This also impacts us because we could see item usage as ‘very low’ when the item usage is high. From MMS090 (item statistics) and MWS070 (transaction history) we don’t see the same history as we would researching (customer order lines) OIS101 and (purchase order lines) PPS201. This leads to conflicting reporting.

Work arounds that I know of would be to utilize a third-party reporting system that would help account for line type 2 – direct deliveries. Like everyone else, I’d assume we want to keep everything internally in M3 without committing a new project cycle for a third party process and creating custom report logic.

Is anyone using M3 Warranty Claim. Open MOS750? We are currently on-prem 15.4 and use warranty claims heavily, but all we know is how it was configured for us and how we use it. As we move to MT Cloud, we have been working with Infor to find a resource that could give us more training on all of the capabilities of warranty process, but they have not had any luck finding anyone.

Could someone show us how they are using warranty claims, or recommend a resource that could help?

We have a scenario where we sell parts to our customers and allow them to pay for them over a period of months. We do not want to negatively impact the customer's AR aging by recording the entire amount due at invoicing. We are looking for a way to invoice the CO but have the associated AR show as individual payments over the life of the agreement period. Any suggestions would be greatly welcomed.

For those of you that are on-prem on IBM i (iSeries), what are you using to replicate your IBM i database to SQL server for reporting? We have been using DBMoto but it is going out of support. The cost of the replacement products I have been looking at are more than an order of magnitude higher.

We are working to integrated with OneStream to faciliate our consolidated financial file production. We understand that GMS200 is the program to use but have been told that it will only produce files with incremental changes. We want a full trial balance download every time we initiate the file. We have a situation that arose at our UK facility where specific rack locations need to be blocked for movement of material into that location until some repairs are done. Yesterday the M3UGA Infor U Focus group met with Infor to discuss Infor U and Campus. Infor demonstrated some of the enhancements that they have made to the course catalog, and they are terrific. If you haven't been on Infor U recently, you should really check it out.

We have a situation where we have one user that is printing an MWS450PF label to a printer that is assigned to their user in MNS205. On a regular basis, they need to print to a different label printer but in order to do that, we either need to change users or update the MNS205 record.
