ER - Cost issues related to differences in how transactions are processed due to timing based on local time and UTC/SYS time.

Hello,

I've posted this ER in another users post that was asking about this same topic and I figured I would make a separate post to help others search and gain traction for up votes.

The scenario we are seeing is:

As we complete transactions, we have noticed that the accounting entry date and update to the average cost will always follow UTC time. The issue we have noticed is that when orders are costed, this causes a variance between what we see in  Read more...the perpetual inventory report (follows stock transactions/local time) and the GL (recorded based off the entry date/UTC time).

We are in CST time zone, which means anything reported after 6pm local time would be past midnight in UTC timing and the accounting entry date will be the wrong date.

We've entered multiple IMS tickets and even investigated the issue with two highly reputable 3rd party Infor architect solution companies. Unfortunately, all these efforts were not met with a solution that can fixed this issue. I gave up hope that a setting/configuration change would resolve this issue and entered an Enhancement Request ticket. Here is the number and link to endorse: ER - 117215.

Please vote for this ER to help get it to the top of the review/development list if you are experiencing the same issue. We appreciate your time and votes!
