Help with App Builder > Form > Start a workflow via API

I've got a workflow that I want to trigger from a widget, so I'm trying my hand at App Builder. But I'm stuck!
I can't get my variables/properties/json/something working correctly. Anybody here have experience with this? Or a better idea on how to trigger? Ideally, a user selects an MO in PMS100, the context fills the fields in the widget, and the user hits a PRINT button.

This is my error:

got my way through the error, but I still can't seem to pass a variable from the top level to the JSON and get the workflow to fire
