calculate the NUMA and NUOP fields in PDS001 for a product structure via api

in CS, is there a way to trigger M3 to recalculate the NUMA and NUOP fields in PDS001 for a product structure via apis? I can add material/components and operations to a PDS001 record, but I don't see a way to force M3 to update the NUMA and NUOP values at the header level to match the new number of components and operations.

Hey Travis! Hey John! Yes looks like the PDS001 related options -> recalculate will do it, but only if you have also set the "Used in std" / SDCD attribute to "1" (i.e. checkbox checked in panel F) for the PDS002 component or operation. There does not appear to be an api available to trigger recalculate from an external app (like Vince) but to your point John, one could create an IPS service can call that. A bit of extra work but looks possible.

Is there a way to do it through an interactive program? Then you could set up an IPS API.

I'm not sure what specific activity it is, but you could try recalculating costs to see if it updates. I think running PDS560 (summarized bill of materials) my also update those counts, but I couldn't say for sure. Worth trying both in a test environment to see if you can't track down an answer? (Also, Hi Slush!)
