Infor plans to retire App Designer in April 2026 and will end support for widgets created with it by October 2026. The Mongoose wizard, intended as its replacement, is expected to be available in April 2026, though timelines may shift based on Infor’s history. Until the wizard is released, it’s uncertain whether the new solution will offer the same low-code flexibility that allowed Business Analysts to deliver quick solutions without developer involvement. Hi,

According to me, Infor Apps Designer is the successor of App Builder.
Apps Designer was a separed tool.
After a while, it has been integrated in Mongoose but it still was a separated product inside the Mongoose Enveloppe
But it seems that now it is fully integrated in Mongoose : no more trace of Apps Designer in Mongoose now.
Could you you confirm that's correct ?

Hi Pete & John,
Agreed with John, the suggested course of action is Experience Designer (EDA).
When EDA is too "light" (can't do script yet) you can use:
- Mongoose but a bit proprietary for my taste
- Or you can use SDK and design your own apps (and then this is a standard so more resources).
In any case it is good to enter an Enhancement request for the improving EDA, because Infor has been doing wonders at improving them all the time.

We had started looking at it for our solution and then found out it was discontinued. I believe that they are supposed to be adding a wizard into Mongoose that will allow you to create widgets. I think their suggested course of action is to use Experience Designer.
