Article:

Has anyone seen a backlog of data in connection points? We are currently going through UAT testing, and sent about 200k customers through however, this is causing a large backup and potentially crashing the ION Connection point.

Thanks Justin. We have started down this path as well but was hopeful Infor would come through. I will update if we get anything more out of them! Appreciate the response.

Hello,

We have encountered this issue as well. When doing data load with our WMS system, through ION, in preparation for UAT we noticed that everything processes fine, until there are several thousand transactions to process in ION. Once that limit is hit, the processing of ION slows to a crawl and processes 1 transaction every couple of seconds.

To get around this, we started doing data loads using Excel templates. These loads are slower than api through ION, but  Read more...allow us to load larger batches quicker than ION can process the individual transactions. This is not a sustainable approach after go-live. But we are not reloading our Customer, Item, and Supplier daily. If you are expecting 200K transaction every minute, you may want to discuss that with your SI for ways around the issue.

We have also experienced this in transactions coming back from a voice-pick system. The ION gateway was funneled through one endpoint, which caused congestion and eventually a collapse as you are saying. It may be worth a look to see if you can use different gateways while loading the data. Since you are loading customer data, it may not be possible, but it worked for us when we were sending and receiving data through the same pipe.  Show less...

I should have asked the follow up, if you have seen this, what did you do to correct it?
