We’re currently working on a request to create a Sales Contract and would like to confirm whether M3 has an existing document or print file that can be used for this purpose.
The high level approach is this😕may need tweaking based on what is already setup in your environment)
1: Create an CO Type that attaches the Order Confirmation with a special variant for the Sales Contract. 2: Development the Streamserve document template based on your requirements and configure it to be used when the variant from above is triggered.
There are a number of ways to attached the variant to the order Read more...based on the order Type, customer, or even manually.
Do you have skills in-house to develop the Streamserve template? How about the configuration of M3 to use the variant order confirmation? Show less...
We’re using Streamserve, and the main issue is that the document is currently shared across multiple divisions, while the Sales Contract would be specific to an international facility that requires this document.
We were hoping that an existing Sales Contract document or print file already exists in M3 that could allow us to print from OIS300 with custom verbiage and translations. I’m not sure if anyone else is currently using a Read more...similar setup or a specific document for this purpose. Show less...
Sounds like you are trying to create a "Quote". The quote could be printed with all the details you need, starting with the details from the quote order and then add the legal language as needed. That brings us to the output document. What tools do you have for generating documents? {Streamserve, Birst, etc.....)
Is this an every order thing or it varies? Just wondering why you wouldn't edit the OC to look the way you describe. Or, create a new document that you would append to the OC, similar to how you might have a Terms & Conditions page tied to your PO or customer invoice. If needing to be dynamic, maybe have its presence controlled by some customer / order field.
Hi John, With blanket agreements, we would display the items along with the agreed pricing and other item related details for the customer. The sales contract we are attempting to create is more of an order-specific document, where the details would correspond to the order lines and include all the information typically found in an order acknowledgment but with additional legal information for the customer to review and agree to.
